The Alberta Real Estate Associates Program (REAP)

The most important step in becoming a licensed REALTOR® is to understand all of the steps and costs involved in the process.

So what do I need to do?

To become a REALTOR® in Alberta, you must first obtain your real estate license and associated authorization to trade in real estate in the province of Alberta. RECA® provides the required pre-licensing education. You can only become a member of CREB® by completing the pre-licensing education, obtaining your license to trade in real estate, and joining a CREB® member brokerage. Once you have completed the required pre-licensing education (REAP) and have chosen a brokerage to work with, your broker will help you join CREB®. CREB® will give you a complete orientation to ensure you know how to utilize the many tools offered to agents.
